You are not right on the lake, but your land touches the Army Corps of Engineers land allowing you access to the lake as it if were all yours. You can see the lake from the lot in the Fall and Winter.

The land does not perk for a conventional septic system, but alternative systems can be employed for around $20,000. Very reasonable covenants, only $75 per year to keep road in shape. We simply camp and have fun for now.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get out of the city and have a lot of fun. This is it. You can be here from Raleigh or Durham in about an hour. Put your boat in the water across the lake at the State-maintained Grassy Creek Community Park and beach. Landing is straight across the lake from the boat launch.

With your own buoy permit, you can leave your boat on the water as you wish. This permit can usually be upgraded to a dock permit as well. And this is on a part of the lake that expands without bridge blockage to the entire rest of the lake.
