Owner: I was born in Panama and simply could not stay away from my homeland during my sunset years. It is such a lovely and safe country, especially out here in the sticks. My lady and I hope to spend many happy years gardening, fishing, and having family and friends come to visit. A large hospital is just twenty minutes away. Incredibly, there is a new international airport being built near Penonome (due to the fact that Penonome is at the physical center of the country) that will handle flights from all the major international airlines.

Panama has no standing army, only local, friendly police. All of Panama also uses American currency, and all banks and major institutions have English speaking owners, managers and teachers. The country has extensive regulations in place created to benefit anyone who desires to retire to Panama.

The land being offered is actually a small mountain or huge hill, situated in a rising valley among really big, true continental divide mountains. About half the year the weather is humid and hot with rains arriving for about an hour every afternoon, cooling things back off. Then the seasons change to a dry, very breezy six months of pure bliss. But even the rainy season is lovely up here in the hills and mountains. A breeze is always stirring here due to the funnel-like valley in which the land is located.

The Pacific beaches can be reached in less than an hour, and a new road is being built to the Caribbean only minutes away from the land. Traveling to the Caribbean will only be about a 70 minute ride through the incredible Continental Divide. See some of the pictures. It's truly an astounding place to live and roam.

Community water has been run to the edge of the land and is easily accessible for about a dollar a month. Septics are about half of what US prices would be, as are roads and other land improvements. We have been told that power will be run down the road this year. You can hire loyal friendly help for 8 dollars A DAY. And if you can come up with $1600 a month, you will live like absolute kings and queens.

We have actually been thinking about going off the grid. It's cool enough at night to sleep just fine with screens only. Solar will supply all the lights we need... and even a fan or two. Propane will run the fridge. Cooking can be done outside under the bohio overlooking the pool. We'll use a combo of propane and wood from the land for that. Of course we can grow tons of fruits and veggies year round too.

You will be purchasing this from a seasoned American land developer who is also a Panamanian National. That's me! I also own American Land List that you are looking at this on. We will be your neighbors, so you'd better be nice to us... hahaha!!! On another note, you will be completely surprised at how many friendly Americans, Canadians and Europeans are living here... not to mention the very friendly Panamanians. I love Panama and its people.

You won't find land this reasonable or lovely anywhere else. Panama is the place to be. Twenty Acres!!! And the hills and mountains above Penonome are the next place in Panama to be. Land is less expensive, roads are good, weather is amazing, and it's right in the middle of the country with beaches nearby.
