1. How much does it cost to list property on this site?

Pay Plans:

  • 1 month: $19/month or $57/quarter or $228/year
  • 3 months: $17/month or $51/quarter or $204/year
  • 12 months: $15/month or $45/quarter or $180/year

For as little as $13/month, you can also obtain one of a limited number of Featured Listings which prominently appear on the Home Page every day, all day, UNTIL YOUR PROPERTY SELLS.

To get started as a Seller, follow these steps:
1. Hit any button on the left side menu.
2. Fill out the Free Member Registration form.
3. Click on "Sign Up To Sell" on the left side menu and pick your payment option.
4. Click on My Properties to add/edit listings.
5. Choose "Feature This Listing" if you so desire.

Note: Just like all magazine subscriptions, this is a recurring subscription that will take place each time your plan is due for renewal. If you purchase a Featured Listing, it will be handled as a separate transaction, but will be just as easy to obtain. If you ever wish to cancel any subscription, simply Contact Us and this will be taken care of for you immediately. Thanks for your business!!

2. What is a "Free Member"?

A Free Member is someone who signs up to use the site (for free) as a "looker" or "user". Anyone can search the site and have fun looking, but a Free Member has access to many other features, such as Saved Searches, Favorite Listings, Printing Brochures, Email History, Wish List, Send to a Friend, Contact Seller, and much more. It simply gives you a FREE way to have a "home" within this site so you can always return to a familiar place.

3. What is a "Featured Listing"?

A Featured Listing is a month by month slot that you purchase for only $13 dollars a month. This slot will insure that your listing is seen on the Home Page of the website everyday for as long as you leave it there... UNTIL IT SELLS. So for only $28 per month ($15 + $13) you can have Unlimited Listings, Unlimited pictures, and be able to Feature any listing you want... anytime you want... for as long as you want... all year long.

Let me say that again:

FOR AS LITTLE AS $28 DOLLARS A MONTH, YOU CAN HAVE UNLIMITED LISTINGS, UNLIMITED PHOTOS, FIRST PAGE GOOGLE, AND BE ABLE TO SHOWCASE ANY LISTING YOU WANT ON OUR HOME PAGE, FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT, ALL YEAR LONG.

No one else will give you this...

4. How many listings and photos can I have, and what size should photos be?

UNLIMITED LISTINGS and UNLIMITED PHOTOS! As many as you want! But make all photos NO LESS THAN 800 X 600 IN SIZE, which is exactly the Microsoft "Document" size when you are in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. If you don't know what to do, just put them in there AS BIG AS YOU CAN and we'll fix them for you automatically. Here's the key: DON'T PUT LITTLE TINY PICTURES ON THE SITE!!

NOTE: Some pictures were originally installed on this site that were too small to fix. That is why they do not enlarge properly when clicked on. That problem will eventually correct itself as those listings sell and are removed.

5. How do I upload the photos?

Log on as Seller. Under the Seller area on the left side of the site, click on My Properties. This will bring you to a page that will help you describe your property. At the bottom will be areas where you can upload images (pictures) and videos (You Tube, etc). Simply click on the buttons as required. (See Site Tips below for more ideas to make this process easier for you.)

6. How do I change my Main Photo or move others around?

Go to the Image upload area described above. The first upload box is the Main Photo box. If you want to change the main photo, upload a new picture in the first upload box, or move an existing one into place from a lower location. You can simply "push" pictures into any position using the star-shaped icon to the left of each picture

7. How do I link your website to mine and get a FREE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION?

There are two steps. The first step puts you on our site, and the second one puts us on yours:

1. Go to the FREE LISTINGS area on the top right side of the Home page. Fill out those three boxes and hit "Link". We will send you an email confirmation, and your website URL will be placed on our "Howdy Pardners" page within 24 hours.

2. Go the the "Link Us To You" button in the FREE BROWSING area on the right side menu. Click on that and open it up. Pick one of our pre-written HTML links to place somewhere on your website. We will be glad to assist you with that process as well, so feel free to Contact Us or call us at 919-939-2530. Included in this will be a month of FREE LISTINGS as well. And by the way, if you simply ADD FIVE NEW LISTINGS EACH MONTH, you will continue to have free access to the site. No kidding!! Thanks!!

8. How much does it cost to look for property on this site?

No cost to be a “looker” or a Buyer or a Member. You may look without signing up with us, but if you DO sign up with us as a Member (for free), you can Save Searches, Save Favorite Listings, get Email History, Wish List access, Print Brochures, Send to a Friend, and a whole lot more. You can also receive an optional Newsletter from us. It’s all up to you.

9. What is "Wish List" and "Wishing Well"?

Only Free Members or Sellers (who are also members) may use the Wish List area. Anyone can access the Wishing Well area. Wish List is on the left side menu and allows you to title and describe your dream property, or just something you are interested in. That is then posted under Wishing Well on the right side menu for all to see. Although anyone can see the list of wishes in the Wishing Well, only Members may actually contact you via a hidden email address. You may add/edit/delete these areas at any time. Note: The first time you enter a wish, it will be sent to all Sellers on this site.

10. What is "My Say So" and "Members Say So"?

The "Say So" areas are great ways to promote your company on the internet for Google and other Search Engines to see! These two areas work almost the same as Wish List and Wishing Well, but are more expanded. This is a forum that allows members to post articles and announcements to the public online, using American Land List as the host. Only Free Members or Sellers (who are also members) may use the "My Say So" area. However, anyone can access the "Members Say So" area. My Say So is on the left side menu and allows you to create articles with links and pictures that will then be sent out from this website to the world. These are then posted under Members Say So on the right side menu for all to see. Although anyone can see and read the articles in this area, only Members may actually contact you via a hidden email address. You may add/edit/delete these areas at any time. Again, what a great way to increase your web presence online.

11. What are "Favorite Listing" and "Fan Club"?

In addition to your Wish List and the Wishing Well, you can also save individual listings that really are your favorites. Use the Favorite Listings and Wish List as a general way to put your "flag" out there for contact with other Members and Sellers. Use the Favorite Listings area for your special and most favorite properties. Fan Club is a place where Sellers can keep track of those who have made one of their listings a Favorite Listing. NOTE: When you Favorite a listing, the Seller of that listing is notified and he may or may not get in touch with you at that point. But you will always have the option of controlling any such correspondence.

Fan Club was created as a kind of reverse Wish List. Instead of assisting the looking Member in his search for property, it helps the Seller by notifying him whenever someone has saved one of his listings as their "Favorite." The Seller then has the opportunity to communicate with the interested person about his listing (and the interested person can respond if he wants to).

Between Fan Club and Wish List, think of this site as a self-supporting "cyber-servant" for anyone who wants help buying or selling property!!
